I've been making bearings for racers for almost 30 years now and have a good idea of what a bearing's expected lifespan is. Typical warranties cover manufacturer defects, which with a bearing almost never happen. Normally when a customer experiences a bearing problem, it is not covered by warranty as 99% of issues arise from poor maintenance or installation. Meaning, a bearing virtually never goes bad on it's own. It either goes bad from simply wearing out (which it's supposed to do) or because the customer/mechanic didn't install or maintain it well.
No bearing is invincible, and every bearing will eventually wear out (don't believe those who say otherwise). This can be accelerated by poor installation and a lack of maintenance (see a trend here). Having said that, I am now offering an industry best 7 year warranty on all of my bearings. I build my bearings to last a lifetime (with periodic maintenance by the end user) and in the event a bearing fails or wears out (regardless of fault), I will repair or replace it for a period of 7 years. Simply send it back to the address below with a friendly note, and I'll send back a perfect bearing in it's place. This covers bearings purchased March 15th, 2017 and after (the launch of my new website). If you upgrade to COATED, I will extend the warranty to 10 years. There is only one exception and that is wheel bearings used in MTB. There is no warranty for these. I don't directly offer these but I know some will use my road wheel bearings in their MTB. That's perfectly fine, but they won't be covered under warranty.
- Bearings purchased March 15th, 2017 and later from our new website (order numbers 10100 and higher) are covered by warranty to the original purchaser for any manufacturers defects and/or poor installation and maintenance for a period of seven (7) years.
- COATED Bearings purchased March 15th 2017 and later from our new website (order numbers 10100 and higher) are covered by warranty to the original purchaser for any manufacturers defects and/or poor installation and maintenance for a period of ten (10) years.
- Bearings purchased January 1st 2016 - March 14th 2017 are covered by warranty to the original purchaser for any manufacturers defects for a period of three (3) years.
- Bearings purchased December 31st 2015 and earlier are covered by warranty to the original purchaser for any manufacturers defects for a period of one (1) year.
- Please note, wheel bearings used in MTB are not covered under any warranty. MTB warranty is offered on Bottom Brackets and Pulleys only.
- Clearance items purchased from our website or eBay (any date) are covered by warranty to the original purchaser for any manufacturers defects for a period of one (1) year.
F1 Ceramic will repair or replace items eligible for warranty. Items repaired or replaced will be not be covered under the above warranty. Repaired or replaced items that are sent back for warranty will be repaired under our rebuild service which incurs a fee.
In the event we no longer make a similar product, we will offer a store credit to be used at our website.
A qualified mechanic should install all F1 Ceramic products using the proper tools and methods. This includes using bearing presses, facing BB shells, correctly tensioning hubs, etc. (read our installation instructions for each part for detailed instructions of proper installation).
All warranties are for the original owner only and proof of purchase must be shown. Warranty covers items purchased from f1ceramic.com, f1ceramicbearings.com or an authorized dealer. Warranties are non-transferable.
The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage arising from abuse or misuse including but not limited to damage caused by crashes or collisions, modifications, additions, changes to the original product, or other excessive, improper or abnormal conditions or labor charges for part replacement or changeover.
All F1 Ceramic Bearing products are not intended for use in stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics, or similar activities or with motors or power-driven vehicles. This warranty is VOID where the product has been used in any of these ways. The user assumes the risk of any personal injuries, damages to, or failures of the products, and any other losses including but not limited to any property damage if the product has been used in any such manner.
F1 Ceramic Bearings makes no representation on the suitability of any product for its intended use, or any other use. Consumers, and others, should rely on their own judgment.
F1 Ceramic Bearings shall not be responsible for any injuries to any individual using our products. Nor does it assume any incidental or consequential damages as a result of the use of our products. This includes, but is not limited to: lost profits, lost savings, loss of life and/or incidental or consequential damages or injuries arising from the use of, or inability to use this product.
Warranty does not offer any cash refunds.
We must receive all items before any warranty decision is made.
We reserve the right to decline any warranty if the claim is deemed to be fraudulent.
Buyer is always responsible for shipping costs for warranty returns.
We reserve the right to charge for return shipping back to the customer on warranty items.
What to do if you have a claim:
Please ship the items back to us at the address below via a traceable and insured shipping method using the original shipping carton or one of similar construction. Please do not send bearings back in a regular envelope, they will get damaged or lost and we will not be able to process your warranty claim. We are not responsible for lost packages or items damaged in return shipment. No RA # is needed.

- Your dated sales receipt
- A completed warranty form (<< click link for form)
When you send a part back for warranty inspection we will determine what is causing your issue and what is needed to fix it.
Do not ship us a package via UPS, Fedex, DHL, Airborne Express, etc. You must ship to us via the Post Office. Packages shipped via a method other than the Post Office will be returned to you at your expense.
F1 Ceramic is not responsible for paying DUTIES, TAXES, and BROKERAGE.
On waybill please mark "DUTIES will be paid for by the Customer" to avoid paying the duty charges after we have received your package.
